The best way to do this is to install a standard security camera in the baby’s room. It is preferable to use an infrared camera so that you can see what the baby is doing at night when the lights are off. From anywhere in your home, you will be able to monitor your surveillance cameras by connecting wirelessly from any PC or Laptop to your DVR using the internal IP address. That means you can use an inexpensive laptop like a netbook (often found for under $300) to monitor your cameras will moving around in your home. You will find this very convenient. Additionally, you can use the DVR to monitor the audio of the baby’s room, thereby eliminating the need for a baby monitor. Now you will be able to hear and see everything that is going on in your baby’s bedroom. Also, you will be able to keep an eye on things while you are gone from home. Any PC, anywhere on the Internet will be able to monitor the baby if they have the correct IP address, user name and password.
