Hey!

I got a company that measures around 170*170ft or 50*50 meters and I'm considering getting the "COMPLETE 32 CHANNEL DVR ULTIMATE SECURITY CAMERA PACKAGE" ( https://www.securitycameraking.....-prd1.html ) to replace my old system with just 16 cameras and poor video quality.

However, I need much longer cables than those provided in the package. I think I need at least 200ft cables in some cases. Is it possible to extend the cables by connecting for example one 100ft with an 50ft or do I have to get a long one? Maybe the “Siamese Cable By The Foot” and make my own connectors?

I’m totally novice in the video cable world, as you may notice. :)

Hoping for answers, thanks in advance!

I suggest using the Custom Builder to get the correct Cable lengths ;)

Just Match these Items:

  • 32 Channel H.264 Ultimate Series DVR - (DVR-LT032960)
  • 32 x Indoor/Outdoor Weatherproof High Resolution 700TVL Infrared Vandal Dome Security Cameras - (OD-CM700IR50-B)
  • 2 x 16 channel power distribution box - (PWR-16)
  • 32 x 100ft Plug and Play Cables - (BNC-100)  Change your Cable to Siamese Cable And select the correct BNC connectors and Flying leads.
  • 32 x Power leads - (PT-3)

Wow! That was a quick answer I have to say. Laugh

Yeah, I saw that custom builder but I think I need 200ft cables also, and it's just 150ft maximum in that list what I can see? Then it's back to basic and do the connector ends on my own? Never done that before but maybe it's not that tricky?

Its not that complicated just take some finesse ;) . There are a few different ones out there we carry the Twist on kind that does not require any tools and the ones that do require are the Crimp on connectors and Compression.

Here is an old video from our video Vault.

I suggest going with Siamese cable and adding your ends over plug and play cables.
