I'm replacing several old cameras and ended up moving the DVR for better location.  I could use some of the existing siamese cabling but not all would reach to the new location.  Is it acceptable to use a female/female BNC coupler to extend the existing cabling to the new location or should I run new cable?  I'm thinking the coupler would work but don't want to rig it.  Thanks.

You can use a coupler but it is always recommended to run new cables as any splices or devices in between will reduce the quality of the signal.

If you do and you have issues you know where to start trouble shooting. If you have a wrist monitor test cableso you know everything works as you go along.
