I read somewhere that you should not use a green HDD in the DVR. I have a couple green HDD's in my DVR and

have not had any issues. are the potential problems when using green HDDs' in the DVR's ?

The only thing I can see you might have issues is loosing footage.

The Green hard drives have a variable RPM. In many cases the RPM can vary from 5400 to 7200 RPM and will operate at the lower RPM to conserve power when possible. With hard drives over 1TB we have found the DVR does not work well with these Green drives and there are problems with the recordings. We recommend you do not use any Green drives in our DVRs.
