I have TRIDVR-EL16-DHand it works great been using Web service to do remote viewing all been working fine but today all works good but i can't search old files none at all any channel when i try to playback no files come up they do play on the dvr any help would be appreciated
I would say Firefox appears to be fine but you cant see recording from it. I need you to try using internet explorer and use the walk through when you do as it needs to be configured to work properly.

Good - then you are almost good to go -
To fix the ActiveX thing (the plugins)-
Open Internet Exploder - look for the cog wheel icon at the top right (Settings) Click that and chioose Internet Options from the drop down menu.
When that opens look for the 'Security' tab at the top - click that and look for a button that say 'Custom Level'
Click that and you will see a list of stuff about .Net Framework - scroll down until you see 'ActiveX' stuff.
Look for 'Download unsigned ActiveX' - set that to 'Prompt'
The next one below that should be 'Initialize and script activeX controls not marked safe for scripting' = set that one to 'Prompt' as well.
(This reduces your security but still gives you a pop-up if something tries to load and asks your permission)
When those two things are checked = 'OK' your way out of that dialog.
Last thing to do = bring up the web page again but don't load the activeX plugins yet -
Go back to the cog wheel icon again and this time choose 'Compatibility View Settings'
This will open another dialog - just click the 'Add' button so the address drops down into the lower box.
OK your way out of that one and then go ahead and allow the plugins.
This time they will actually load for you.
let us know if you run into any trouble with it or have other questions.

If that is happening - go back and double check the settings I mentioned to make sure they saved correctly.
If that looks good - then we may have a corrupted download -
Open 'Computer' and the open your C drive,
Two places to look for this directory -
C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) on 64-bit version of Windows.
In both of those directories - look for a directory (folder) called webrec.
Delete that directory in bothe places if you see it.
Then try to log in to the NVR again. If it was a corrupted download - that should fix it.
(You'll need to allow the ActiveX plugins again, but hopefully this will be the last time you have to mess with it)
