I cannot playback anything from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Android), although live preview and other features are ok. Whenever I try I get an error message at the botton of the display, for a brief period: [ResolutionNotSuport]
My configuration parameters are as follows:
Resolution CIF; Frame Rate: 7; Bit Rate type: CBR; Bit Rate: 64
What application did you install in your device. For an Android phone use TechproSS Lite or TechproSS Plus.
If you chose to install the HD versions these are for Android Tablets. TechproSS HD Lite & TechproSS HD Plus.

You also have to enable the extra stream to record on the DVR. The apps only play back the extra stream so you will be recording two streams of footage, so you will need to take into account the hard drive will store less footage.
From my experience this is not exactly what I have seen. If you're using a Dvr specifically, main stream will play back. I have an ultimate mini Dvr and do not record second stream, however I get playback from main stream no problem. I'm assuming it's because main stream on a Dvr is max D1, which the app can handle. So to the OP, what are you using, a Dvr or an nvr? An nvr does throw a message saying it can't playback that resolution. Obviously main stream of an nvr is mega pixel and cannot be played back. The problem I experience with techpro plus is I see no way to set it to default to sub stream playback, so nvr playback doesn't work for me in that case. Until techpro plus gets an update, I recommend using gdmss plus which gives full control over playback settings.

And I should add, when you use an nvr, I believe you will need to record second stream and set gdmss plus for sub stream playback.

Thank you for your help. I am using a hybrid system (16 Channel Hybrid Federal Series H.264 DVR / NVR), perhaps that is the source of the problem. The records I was trying to access were from 'dvr' cameras, though. I have followed your sugestion with gdmss, and even with the 'light' one I was able to access all recorded video (both main and exta streams!) from my android cell phone. So I guess you were right, techproSS has a bug and it needs an update.
