Dear members,

risking that this has been addressed before (I did search for it, but couldn't find it),

I keep on struggling with getting messages that my browsers are too new

No matter which browser I am using, if it is too new, it doesn't let me connect to my NVR within my LAN.

On my office computer, I am using windows 7 with IE 11 and that works very well, but my bosses computer for instance runs windows 10 and I don't know, maybe IE Edge or anything newer than 11. (his computer isn't accessible to me so check right now).

Does anybody know if Sibell is working on making remote viewing possible on modern browser versions?

Any input or referral to an existing thread is appreciated.

Regards

Oliver

Hello Oliver,

To view your Sibell Recorder you will have to use Internet Explorer due to the fact that the plugin is an Active X Plugin and there is only supported on IE. Other browsers do not support this type of plugin.

Thanks for the quick input Jose,

Ah.. yes, you'r right, I usually only try IE, but I guess I forgot and got frustrated and tried other browsers.

But even with IE, a lot of our computers run higher than 11 versions and it asks for older versions of IE then.

And downgrading to version 11 is pretty much a nightmare.

Thanks for the support.

Jose,

as an alternative I would like to use the CMS viewing software, but I can not get it to load all views straight from the NVR.

I can do individual cameras, but not the NVR.

Do you have a manual for it?

On the download site it only links the software.

Thanks

Oliver

There is no need to downgrade the steps are the same, just don't use Edge as this Browser for whatever reason Microsoft had, does not support Active X Controls. Please use the Sibell NVMS found on our Downloads page, there is a built-in Manual if you like to have a read. You can always call in for support as well @ 866 573-8878 option 3
