I have an NVR-EL-16. I'm trying to set up Push Notifications for my phone when Alarm 1 is triggered. Currently, it properly sends out the e-mail alert, but I'm not getting anything on my phone through the app. I don't need to have a photo or video sent to me... I just need to know that the alarm has been triggered. I'm wondering if I need to be recording the extra stream; currently I'm not. Could this be why I'm not getting push notifications? Or is there another reason?

Hello, happy Sunday yes if you would like to receive push notifications for alarms they need to be configured on the android app here is a sample video

So Push Notifications won't work if the extra stream is not recording?

Enabling extra stream will allow you to receive video push notifications and if you wanted to have alarm push notification then you have to configure the alarm input/output at the back of DVR/NVR.

Also you need to configure the alarm in the DVR/NVR menu.
