Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some suggestions. Recently we upgraded to a 64 port DVR and currently have 48 IP cameras on it. Channel names have been entered locally in the DVR.
There are 3 different workstations that have been set up to view certain channels and when logging in to SmartPSS and looking under devices, all channels are described as "chnl1", "chnl2", etc. We used to use the older version of PSS however we had difficulty getting it to work with more than 32 channels. It did however list the actual channels names as entered on the DVR. Am I overlooking some option in SmartPSS to pull channel names from the DVR?
Thanks in advance.

Here is a picture of what I see in Smart PSS when logged into different NVRs. You will notice that there is a 16 channel NVR at 192.168.50.100 That displays all 3 cameras that are being recorded on it.
You will also see the channel names from the NVR in question at 192.168.70.100 that does not show channel names.

I'm sort of at a loss at this point.

Could be a cache issue, same thing happens with the iDMSS mobile software with an NVR I used, you have to go back into the device manage in that case and select live preview, it then updates the new names to the phone.
For Smart PSS if its doing this, try device manage and edit the device, click Get Info. See if that helps. If not, delete the sites, exit Smart PSS, and Restart Smart PSS and add the site again.
If still no luck, which version of Smart PSS is this? 1.11.1 is the most stable all around version for CVI and NVRs.
And do you have full permissions as admin on this PC (eg. maybe it was installed as admin but being used with user privileges). Device1.xml is the file that contains the camera names.
