I find FTP recording directly from Dahua camera to FTP server to be very reliable. Whether I tell Dahua on the management web page the FTP is on the WAN to paid FTP service or to locally installed FileZilla server on the LAN. VERY reliable.

I'm pretty sure the answer is "no," but I'll ask anyway: is there ANY recording management/viewing software that can manage recordings that are on an FTP server?

Or even locally stored recordings, as in the ability to tell a recording-management software where the recordings are (e.g., C:\FTP_recordings).

I guess what I'm saying is, I'm looking for a NVRM (network video recordings manager) and not an NVR. Ha.
