I have 2 of the hybrid 16 analog 16 digital DVR's in 2 locations across town from each other. I cannot seem to get good playback or live view from either, one does ok on a few channels. I have audio on 10 cameras at each location I have tried 960H 20 fms, D1 at 10fms neither gives me smooth live view and when I do the instant replay it's choppy people take 2 steps then are out of the room audio is not understandable. And when I go to playback it's just as bad. I have tried smart pss, just Pss, and the web portal. now the web portal no longer shows video just a camera with a circle and line but it lets me configure the dvr.

One has 16 analog and 5 digital works ok digital is great analog a few channels are ok others not so good.
The other is 16 analog 4 digital first can't get 8 channels to run 960H at 20fps with audio then sound and picture are bad playback still is bad but better than live. They are your 1.3MP bullets on the 5 digital and 2.4 MP on the 4 but running at 720 both locations.
OK is kind of hard to understand what you mean but I don't know if you understand that the DVR can display and record at different FPS rate so if for example you are recording with a 24/7 schedule the settings in the encode under Stream Type 'Regular" will affect how the Footage quality be stored. Now if you are recording motion then you will need to change the settings in the same place "encode under Stream Type 'Motion" to compensate how the unit is recording. Normally if you are recording motion only then that setting will be max out to the highest FPS and resolution.

Thank you tech support Artie who used logmein to see the issue.
The display and audio are much better I have since had to adjust a couple of cameras but it's still better. So from what I can tell you set the quality to 960H, frame rate to 10 and bandwith to 896 bps and I see that not all 7 cameras can run that high some are at 640 bps, others at D1, 10fps, and 640bps. So I was just asking too much at 960H, 20 fps, 1536 bps for 16 cameras with audio and 4 digital at 720, 20 fps 1536 bps.
