I recently had trouble with Smart PSS on my WIN 7 laptop and uninstalled the program, planning to reinstall a new copy. The initial problem was that I could not update the "device manager" to include new DVR IP addresses. However, since uninstalling, I have been unable to re-install it on this laptop. I download the install file and it opens up a screen describing the highlights of the program and just never goes any further. Tried this three or more times with no success. I suspect the uninstall program left some files in the registry which are blocking the new installation. Any suggestions to resolve this. I do have the program running fine on a desktop and several Android devices.
I suggest using an uninstall application such as Revo Uninstaller to search for any other files that may have been left on your system, You can also install it in compatibility mode as well as check if its set to lock. Unblocking the file is enough for the installer to run if it continues then choose compatibility mode.

Thats odd. I just try in My PC and it works. It most be something different in your machine preventing to install correctly.
if you need to delete some registry off your PC then you could go to Run and Type regedit. After the new windows appear do Ctrl F to open the Finder box, then you can Type Smart PSS and delete the registry with that name. Although this could remove any registry from your PC and allow you to reinstall the software, it could also make your PC not boot anymore or unstable.
