I have to make some changes to a remote NVR that I don't have physical access to currently.
I can view the video streams in SmartPSS just fine, but if I go to DEVICE CFG and select the NVR in the list on the left, none of the settings options (ie. Network, Alarm, Disk, etc.) work. They come up blank and then I get an error (ie. "Failed to get local alarm information"). I can access settings for other DVR's we own in SmartPSS, just not this one NVR.
As well, I can't access the NVR directly through any web browser. It just loads a blank page. I have tried in IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. The NVR is online and connected to the network. I can ping it and view the cameras as mentioned already.
Please help - this effectively blocks me from changing anything on this device.
The first thing you want to do is check the HTTP port. It its something else other than 80 then you will need to tell IE that port by adding :88 if the port is 88 or the one you have configured.

I have a Mac running OS X 10.11.3 (ElCapitan).
SmartPSS is installed correctly and seems to be working OK, but I have the same question as the OP.
Can settings such as users, time setting, email settings, and record parameters be set using SmartPSS or do I have to use the DVR embedded interface?
