Camera names not showing on Smart PSS or gDMSS

I've recently installed a few 4 port NVR model NVR-ELT-4-POE4 and I'm finding that when viewing the NVR from SmartPSS or gDMSS that the channel names do not come through like they always have. Back when I was using PSS (not smart) the channel names would always show up after the first connection. Since this wasn't happening I renamed the channels inside SmartPSS and then found that they would go back to the generic Channel 1 name after restarting the software. How can this be fixed?

If you are using our EL series IP cameras, then you can change the Camera name in the NVR. There should be an option under Camera, and it should say either Camera name or Channel name. If you are using Onvif cameras, then there is no way to do this. You can only change the name inside the Onvif camera that you will see in the OSD.

Yes, all the cameras are EL model and I have set the names and they show up when viewing via HTTP but they will not show using Smart PSS or gDMSS on Android. I really hope this can be fixed.

Is there a way to get the names to show up? I'm still fighting this with gDMSS and Smart PSS.
