When using the dDMSS app from an Android phone I see a channel named 0Channel-0. I've seen this now on two devices, one being a DVR and the other an NVR. It does not show up on most devices but causes issues where it is found. As long as you don't choose it to try and view it everything works fine. If you select it it will fail at showing any video and when you try to go to another camera channel it will fail also and continue to fail for a couple minutes. Everything eventually starts to work again. It seems as though choosing this 0Channel-0 channel (whatever it is) hangs up the app on the phone. Can this be removed or hidden to keep end users from causing problems for themselves? What is it?
Hello happy Saturday, the channel 0 (zero) is a multiple channel view, example if you configure it properly you can choose the cameras you want to add to channel zero and have the swipe feature on your phone app like you do when swiping previewing pictures on most mobile device.

Jump to the 6 minute mark of my video to see the menu in the dvr to enable multi channel preview. Very nice feature and worth setting up.

Sorry for answering an old topic.
I'm using Multi-Preview on Dahua as well but I do not connect through RTSP to this channel.
For other channels works well:
rtsp://<user>:<pass>@<host>:<port>/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
Does anyone know the connection string to 0Channel?
Thanks in advance

Did you ever find a solution to this ? Trying to get the preview channel myself with VLC. Thanks.
Mr Smith,
This post is 4 years old. The firmware has changed drastically. Please open a new topic that includes the Make. Model and Firmware on your unit so we can assist you.
