Hi,
I have purchased a new NVR that that 16 ports with PoE

When I plug in my Mobotix M12 cameras they don't power up, but if I plug them into a network PoE switch they power up.
Can someone help me? I purchased the PoE NVR so I could do away with having a separate PoE switch.
I have a couple of other cameras that power up when I plug them into the PoE NVR, but the Mobotix ones don't.

Try to manually add the cameras by the remote device feature. You will have to know the ip address to enter it in. The NVRs do not always detect other manufactures cameras. The cameras need to be set to onvif protocol and the NVR needs that set as well per each ip of the cameras. Alos before I would even try getting them to work in POE of NVR change them to onvif.

Maybe the built in POE just doesn't supply enough power for those cameras. You'd have to know the power spec of the built in poe, and the power requirements of the mobotix cameras. Just a thought on my part.
