We installed an IP system with 4 cameras and an 8 channel NVR. We also installed a mic that plugged into one of the IPVD-EL3MPIR cameras. When playing back video and audio on channel one from the NVR, both are very choppy, video and audio. Is there something that causes this. I can understand if we are logged in remotely but this is happening right at the NVR.
We used a short piece of rg59 with two BNC compression fittings, one on each end, to connect the mic to the camera. The mic has a femace RCA end and the camera has a female RCA end. Damon gave me two RCA to BNC fittings, but the BNC ends were female. Would this make a difference? We were unable find the proper adapter at Radio Shack.
While we do not carry a Male to Male RCA adapter we do have the RCA Male to BNC Female adapter. You can connect this with a 3' cable and get the audio from the MIC to the Camera as show in the Images. Another trick is to add two BNC-COMP Connectors and use a bit of Siamese cable and make your own shorter cable.
