I have one of the older Hybrid DVRs with 16 analog inputs and 16 IP camera inputs. I don't have the unit in front of me so I don't know the model number. I do have the serial and firmware which I've listed below.
The analog side has always worked great, but I've been having problems with the IP camera side. I have two cameras connected with a PoE switch to the DVR. The video will show up fine for a few hours, then one or both camera feeds will drop out randomly. Rebooting the DVR or the cameras over their web interfaces does not bring them back. The only thing that brings them back seems to be reseating each camera's cat 5 cable at the switch. But I don't think I have a network issue, because I am still able to view both camera's feeds over their web interface after they drop out from the DVR.
I tried lowering the bitrate to CBR 1024 and FPS to 5 in each camera's web interface, and it seemed like they went longer before dropping out, but it could be coincidence. Both cameras are running at 1080P.
I've never upgrade the firmware on the DVR or cameras, wondering if that could help?
