Good afternoon Tom,
You are missing the receiver address. You have to click the plus sing button after typing the email address you want to send it to. I can be the same address as the account you are using to send the email if you want. The plus button will let you click on it after you enter the address.

Hi,
Did that . Used the same email address as the receiver. Tried it with Heath Mail checked and unchecked as well as Attachment checked and unchecked.
Is there a mail setup on the NVR menu?
Best Tom

Dan,
I copied those settings from my Mac Mail.
Changed the user name. Same story.
Tried other email addresses, same thing happened.
This issue does not loom large for me, although it would be nice to get an email
when the camera detects motion. The timestamp would helping searching for the clip.
From a internet post on NVR mail problems:
"As for email, the #1 thing I come across is people didn't setup their DNS properly. Test with 4.4.4.2 and see if that clears things up. The #2 reason is they are trying to send email through an SMTP address their ISP doesn't approve of. Check your email settings on your PC to make sure the settings match."

If you have any ideas, please let me know.
Best,
Tom
Hit me up in the chat support or call tomorrow when you have time. I want to get a remote session going to check this out. You might have a blacklisted Ip address but I doubt it. I have only come across 3-4 people that have that issue.
You can check at http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
Enter your public IP on that site and they will tell you if you are. That's the only thing I cant fix if you are.

I'm having the same issue getting emails out. I only receive "test email failed". I have tried a google acct and a hotmail acct. My IP is not listed on the blacklist site.
smtp.gmail.com
port 465
encryption: SSL
Can you explain the DNS settings? Are you talking about the DNS settings in the router or in the NVR under DDNS?
I'm not certain what else could be going on?
Thanks
-Richard
