I was looking into getting a NVR/IP system for my home, but from what I can tell these systems are not Mac friendly due to the use of ActiveX in the web Server. I do not have a windows machine at home that I am sure you need for setting up and configuring the system.
Is there a work around or should I be looking at another brand? I have seen some advertised as being mac comparable.
Thanks
Good evening Bret, we have a really great software called Smart PSS for MAC computers that will work great for you. When configuring your NVR you can use the mouse that comes with the unit and any regular computer monitor that has a VGA or HDMI ports. Once you have your NVR on your network then Smart PSS will do the rest.
Heres a great article on Smart PSS.
