I have 2 DVRs on same network. I have one problem, I can't see the older DVR (2007) on my smart phone. I have no problem seeing both systems on PSS remotely. They have proper different internal ip address, ports 37777 and 47777 etc.. They use http 79 and 80. My question is can both DVRs use the same http since they each have their own internal ip address? Can both DVR's use http 80 for instance since they have differnt internal ip addresses? Even just temporarily?
Our IT guy has a turn around time that prevents me from doing things quickly. I don't think http 79 is forwarded. I'm going to get him to port forward http 79 in a few days for the older DVR. But want to have both DVRs on http 80 for a short while for testing and viewing cams internally and externally.
Thanks

On your Router/ Firewall you will need two different ports for each of these recorders. You can have port 80 for one and 79 for another just as log as no other Device or Service it using these ports. You cannot combine them.
For example you will use your IP Address or a DDNS .
URL Example would be http://xxxxxxxx DDNS Address xxxxxxx:80 or :79

for internal access they theoretically can be on same port number. For remote access they cannot be on same port. I say theoretically because you are technically creating a port conflict, but using different internal IP should be ok for testing. The older DVR most likely needs the older app for your phone. I am not sure it is still available in the app stores anymore. We might have a firmware to update older unit so it is compatible with new app, but it may be too old. If you can take pictures of the unit back side of connectors and open unit take pictures of mother board we can find out if we have it or not.

Turns out port 79 was forwarded. I checked with Canyouseeme? Then I used gDMSS to view older DVR and it worked! gDMSS worked both internally viewing cams and externally viewing cams. Techpro lite and Techpro plus both locked up when attempting to view the older DVR. BTW the older DVR is from ICRealtime from 2007.
Thanks for your help. When something is not working with cctv it could be just one little setting over looked.
Thanks
