Why would someone not go with the 3MP?

Besides the ability of an SD card on the 2MP camera, why would someone not want to go for the 3MP camera? It seems to have a higher quality (I don't know anything about lenses, CMOS, or anything like that though), but it's cheaper. Is the SD card the only reason why? Here are the two cameras in question:

Actually, the biggest difference is the Sensor. The 2 Megapixel is using the Sony Exmor CMOS sensor and the 3 Megapixel is using the Aptina Sensor. For most people this won't make much of a difference, but the Sony Exmore is a much more expensive sensor.
