It appears that each of the NVRs will only record at 2MP (1920x1080) so why would you choose any camera above 2MP if the added resolution can't be recognized?

There are several reasons.
- Most of our 3 Megapixel Pixel cameras can record direct to an on board SD card and you can record at 3MP resolution.
- You can record 3 MP resolution directly to a PC using our TechproSS-PC software.
- Our 3 Megapixel cameras currently use a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor instead of the 1/3" CMOS sensor in the 2MP cameras. The larger sensor performs better especially in low light.
- Some of our newest NVRs (our ELC Series) CAN record 3MP and even 5MP video.

I'm somehow missing which NVRs will record at 3MP. Each one I look at appears to have a max at 1920x1080. I recently got another project with a mere 5 cameras but think I can do it with 3 IP cameras if the customer will accept the change.

We haven't started to advertise it yet. But our most recent firmware on this unit: https://www.securitycameraking.....-prd1.html and the 4 and 8 channel as well support 3 Megapixel.

No, ELT series is the only one that only supports 1080p.

Unfortunately none of the 4CH NVR support 3mp and up. Only ELC series and Up.
