Hey Guys,
I have a need to use the 2 way audio feature on my cams/NVR. Wondering how this all works. I understand I can buy one of your mics and install that at the cams and the audio will be transmitted back to the NVR so I can hear them on the recording and over mobile apps, correct? If that is correct, my next question would be for the transmit audio to the cam. Meaning, if I speak over the mobile app, I want someone in my shop to hear me. Can I simply ad something like this passive speaker below or do I need a powered self amplified speaker to attach to the cam?
Any suggestions on products would be great as well...I plan to have one indoors and one outdoors.
Thanks for any help,
Shawn
Hello Shawn, yes if you connect and configure a powered Mic from our website https://www.securitycameraking.....6-ctg.html
You would be able to listen and record the audio if you wanted to talk through your phones or computer mic then you would be able to as long as you have an audio output and a amplified speaker connected to the port. here is a great video and article on the set up.

hope this helps have a great day..

Checked out the video...however, this applies to older BNC style setups... I have NVR and ip Cams... The Cams offer Audio Out and Mic In... Just to be clear, I can add amp/speaker a the actual cam and still have 2 way communication? Since the cam is about 300' away from the NVR, running audio cable to the CAM in question would be very difficult. Just want to make sure before I order items.
MY PLAN:
Install MIC (your) at the remote IP CAM
Install Powered Speaker at the remote IP CAM
Attach MIC and Powered Speaker to the AUDIO OUT and AUDIO in RCA ports on the IP CAM
To be clear, this will allow me to record audio at the NVR as well as press the MIC button on the mobile apps and NVR GUI and allow 2 way communication at the IP CAM location?

I just got one back from repair today, I had my hand on them for sure
Both RCA...
It also has alarm, reset button, power, RJ45, and maybe something I am forgetting LOL
They do have both though I am for sure...when I bought them, that was one of the things I liked about them, the options on the pigtail.
Check your video below...I just searched and found it...it refers to the audio and mic
