I connect directly to each camera, set the time (sync to pc), set GMT offset (-4), turn DST on with proper start/stop dates, set to automatic updates with time.windows.com every 30 minutes, apply & save and everything looks fine.  A few minutes later, about half of my 12 cameras are back on the wrong time - usually an hour off.  What gives?  Didn't used to have this problem.

Not sure if NVR is keeping correct time anymore or not.  Video search/playback is messed up too... I search for a time and it only goes to the top of the hour and doesn't play.

Please provide a phone number for us to contact you. Make sure is posted as a PM instead of a public reply. Make sure you are at the location where the NVR is.

Thanks

Hello,

If you are using our NVR with our EL cameras and both have the latest firmware then the NVR will keep the IPC in Sync with the NVR time. If you have NTP setup then you must be 100% sure that the GMT is set based in your location. Many people think that because they are Est. Time the GMT is -5 but in reality is something different. I will always recommend to set Day light saving in stead. I never find NTP accurate. You will set DST once a year, and every year the date will change when the time changes. You could Google DST 2015 or 2014 and it will show you what specific dates the time changes. Is also at 2AM what ever day the time changes.
