Streaming issue when accessing 2MP plus cameras remotely

I added number of 2 and 3 MP ip cameras (i.e. 2 Megapixel ONVIF TP Series) in two different locations to my NVR system. When I try to access them via TechproPlus or my laptop, I get very poor streaming (almost frame by frame sometime).

Any idea what could be causing this? Internet speed onsite? Camera settings?

Hello,

It could be that you have not change the sub stream resolution settings of the camera, by default they are set to CIF and that is the lowes resolution you can go. Logging to the camera and set the minor to Best and set the resolution to 704x480

Jesus,

thanks for the tip. I was able to adjust the resolution, bit rates and get it going. The internet at this location was slow and it was not helping. After I made the adjustments the streaming it back at an acceptable level. Thanks again for taking your time and responding so quickly. I also would like to thank Arthur from the security camera for his feedback.
