if I use an NVR with poe ip cams and I want to eliminate wiring to 2 of the cams on 2 unattached but adjacent outbuildings...how would I do this wirelessly? do I add some kind of transmitter reciever for rj45 and poe power injectors for each cam ..... Or some sort of Wi-Fi hub solution?
cables between buildings won't due and while underground is possible I'd have to go under sidewalks and would rather not dig.
any suggestion welcomed. Tia
Hi Rick,
If I am understanding correctly you could use a pair of these (LINK) to create a wireless bridge between both buildings. You would simply connect the Access Point to the main network of the first building and then connect the station to a POE switch on the second building and plug the cameras into that POE switch. This wireless bridge will transmit network between the two antennas and ultimately give network to the POE switch in the second building.
Keep in mind with this solution the two antennas have to be within complete line of sight of each other.
