Hello fellow CCTV enthusiasts,
In this article I am going to go over the process of adding PRIME IP cameras to Elite NVR's.
First, we are going to have to find out the IP address of the NVR. To do this we will need to use our Config Tool from here: https://app.box.com/s/1o97ksve.....rf5rb2k9mh
You can either set the NVR to DHCP, which will automatically sync to your network, or assign a static IP.
Once you have the IP address you will enter it into Internet Explorer. My example looks like this: http://192.168.10.229
Follow the following instructions in this article here to install the plug ins:
https://www.securitycameraking.....ows-10-os/
In this example we are using an ELITE NVR with built in POE. The standard subnet for the internal POE switch for these models is 10.1.1.1, so we are going to have to change the IP address of the PRIME camera to match it. In this example we are going to change the IP address of the camera to 10.1.1.201.
Now we are ready to modify the IP address of the PRIME IP camera. For the initial set up you will need to connect the camera to your local network with local power, or use a POE switch/injector. You can also connect a computer into the internal POE switch of the NVR along with the PRIME camera to make these adjustments. You will need to download the following tool to make these adjustments:
https://app.box.com/s/3mdbhflc.....jk3qafwy22
Now that we have changed the IP address of the camera we will want to log into the web interface of the NVR using Internet Explorer. Navigate to SETUP/CAMERA/REMOTE DEVICE and MANUAL ADD. Select the ONVIF protocol and put the correct password in for the camera and connect.
You have now added a PRIME IP camera to an ELITE NVR! Take note if you have a NVR without built in POE you will use this same process except use your LOCAL network subnet for the camera.
Your feedback is welcomed!
Thanks
