I have 5 IPOD-EL3MPIR50 cameras. Just installed the last one today. And it's in focus for the first 10 feet and then out to 100 feet it's fuzzy. The other 4 IPOD-EL3MPIR50 are clear focus up near and out far. So I have a very good reference point. Changed all the cables, verified cam settings just like the other cams. Cleaned cam glass with windex lightly. Still no focus past 10 feet. I had a similar problem with one of the other cams that was out of focus on the left side and you guys fixed/repaired that after I mailed it back to you. It's a shame it's out of focus, these are good little cams very clear and small. Small is good. But now this is twice out of five cams I've had focusing problems.
IS THERE A WAY TO CORRECT THE FOCUS ON IPOD-EL3MPIR50 CAMS from my end?
Thanks for any help,
Jer7of9
Can you take the dome off and take a picture of the camera? Can you send screen shots?
Send your order number to the email address as well. Thanks!

I finally got around to taking down the camera and trying to open it up. The IPOD-EL3MPIR50 is a little round ball with a line around it and I tried to unscrew the two halves but it's too tight. I'm turning counter clockwise, rightie tightie, lefty loosey. But it does not budge. What's the trick to taking it apart. I'm not keen on sending it back in the mail. I want to adjust the focus myself with your help of course. FYI I got a IPOB EL3MPIR100 motorized zoom to replace IPOD-EL3MPIR50. Man the wide angle is great and the auto/manual focus from the NVR is awesome. Costs a little more and it's a bullet cam but it installed fast and looks great.
Now help me take apart the IPOD-EL3MPIR50.
Thanks

Fixed focus. Unscrewed two halves of EL3MP50IR dome cam. Unscrewed the IR circuit board. Unscrewed the lens lock nut. Rotated lens back and forth to find best focus. Tightened lens lock nut. Put Ir circuit board back on. Cleaned all glass and screwed two halves back together. Works like new and like the other EL3MP50IRs that I have.
Thanks for your instructions via email.
