This model does not have the PTZ section. If you would have it you would have to set up some type of relay that monitors the power and sets a preset. Now after reading your first post, I may have understood the question in a different manner. If you are referring to turning off the camera and the positioning of the lens still remain after a power outage or a manual shut off, then yes it will retain the position.
