Hello all

I am here to learn how to reset a CCTV system for a retail store with 8 cameras. The system was setup about 3 years ago and worked fine, including iPhone remote monitoring. But about a year ago we had ATT U-verse installed and the password for our DVR was changed and we have not been able to reset it. The company that set it up disappeared and we've had a few tech savvy people try to get it going again but to no avail.

I would like to replace/upgrade the DVR and restore the security system. I would like a more stable, reliable system when all is said and done.

Looking forward to learning more about CCTV from this site and the people who know how it's done!!

Cheers!

Hello Sir,

What model is the DVR that you trying to reset? Are you trying to reset the passwords or default the DVR to factory settings?

Thank you for your quick response mrkuchuk !

The DVR has no obvious name branding on it's case. At startup we see "DVR.264" on the monitor. On the back panel there's a bar code sticker with "DVR 4308" on it.

We can no longer view via our iPhones because a password is required to gain access to the server, so I've been told. Before disappearing the company that installed the system said someone on our end changed the password and unless we have it we can't access the server that facilitates iPhone viewing.

We use the iPhone monitoring when we travel to monitor the store and without that feature we have hours of recording that's not very practical to view.

Sir,

We have a way to reset the passwords on our products and it is not going to work on other products. I need to confirm the model of your DVR before I can help you. Please call me directly at: 866-573-8878 Ext: 121 so we can locate your account and confirm the model of your DVR. I am confident we can help you.

Thanks,
