i'm looking at the cams listed below to replace the old "Northern dtw212hir960 domes/vandal cover". they are going on the outside of house, a few under minimal eave and a few on side with no eave protection. for outdoor cams, do i need the vandal dome cover, say, versus the one's without that. i'm thinking i since the old ones have that but want to ask. one of the below cams is bullet type, the two others are dome, one with vandal cover and one without. all three have the same resolution, but differ on the IR range. the bullet seems better for IR range. our HOA doesn't like white cams that stand out too much, so i either need to get brown/black, or paint the cam housing like i did on the Northerns. cams will connect to a TRIDVR-EL16M4.

requesting a little help/insight on choosing between these thr cams. their price point fits my budget but isn't written in stone.

Any of those cameras will work great inside or outdoors but with any outdoor security camera you will need to protect the connections from the elements.

I recommend that you get the darker dome camera. Its a great camera and if you paint one of the other cameras that you mentioned, it will void the warranty.

for the spots that dome cam won't be directly under a small eave, it will view ok if it rains, say without the dome cover? guess, i'm a bit stuck on the "dome vandal cover" thing since these old cams have it. but if these news one's don't need it, suits me. just want to get the right ones.

thanks for letting me know about the "white" housing. painting them is a lot of trouble anyways. 😉
