Has anyone used the alarm/alerts on this DVR.

I want to connect a PIR motion, and A voice dialer. I have a system install the customer wanted to use a camera to alert when

someone pulled in the driveway.  As you likely know the false alerts are out of hand using the camera.
I would like to use the PIR to monitor the drive, and have the Dialer then make notification to a phone after hours.
I understand how the email notifications work and that will not do the job in this setting.

I called support, and seemed they did not have much info or detail on if this can be done or what products have been used..
I know it can be done, just wondering if anyone has tried it and had much success?

Possible equipment:
USP Voice Pager Model AD-2001   ( has N/O N/C output terminals)
Optex HX-40 PIR Motion              ( has N/O N/C output terminals)

Hi,

Why would you need to interface the recorder with these two devices. I would use the PIR with the Voice Dialer directly. Are you looking to just have these devices work at a certain time frame only?

We use PIRs on most of our DVRs and NVRs. I like Optex products, especially the LX 402 and 802. They work well with these DVRs and NVRs. Letme know if you have any questions.
