Zoom and menu was working fine but then suddenly the menu went small and off to the top left corner of the screen, and I exited the menu.
Now the zoom and menu do not work at all. I even switched the camera to another channel with working zoom and menu, and also powered everything off and on again a few times.
Is there any kind of mouse/PTZ conbination that will lock disable PTZ control of these cameras?
Thanks.

So I played back the video and I see that I accidentally switched it to PAL.
I still dont see how that would cause me to loose control of the PTZ.
But anyway, does anyone have an idea how to get this to switch back to NTSC or at least gain control of the menu again?
Thanks.

Just to clarify some more, I played back the recorded video again and saw that when I hit RESET in the menu it then switched it to PAL - by itself, not me clicking the format menu item. This is an AF dome purchased from Techpro at christmas time, and it was always NTSC. It was originally set to regular HD mode, but the DVR went bad and it has had the wires shorted for SD mode for the past couple months. The image is HD now though as it is back on the replacement/updated DVR, and as mentioned I was able to control the zoom and menu for a while until this happened.
Hello BahamaCCTV,
The only way those settings change normally is because someone changed them. I am not sure it is plausible that a malfunctioning dvr or camera could change on their own. Obviously it happened to you somehow though. Depending on the firmware some dvrs let you change from PAL to NTSC and back again. That option was in the general setting. That is also true on some of the cameras they would let you change between formats.

This is the CVIVD-ELV22IRML2712, and yep it set to PAL when I reset it - never seen that before which is why I didnt notice it. Now I can't even get into the settings to change them, I guess PAL needs a DVR with the same format since these use the coax cable for PTZ control. The camera does have a socket for something, any ideas what that is. It says jumper (dont recall the number) and looks like its for programming it or something. This DVR only has NTSC in the drop down unfortanately. I may have an old DVR that can switch to PAL but then I still wont be able to get into the menu since it needs HD-CVI technology 🙁

Im going to need to get me a 4ch for testing 😀
For now, I could ask someone that "might" have one, but I dont want to risk a DVR already in the field by changing the format, even if they allow that. Any other ideas to reset the camera back to NTSC would be appreciated, thanks.
