I am trying to figure out how to connect the Audio on my PTZ camera. I have the power hooked up and its working but i don't have any sound to hear whats going on outside. Please do anyone know how to connect the sound on this PTZ camera? I see the audio wire but where do i connect it to have sound?
Hi Henry,
I was not able to find a PTZ purchase on your account. Are you referring to the CVIPTZ-EL2IRL20X-D2 if so then you will need to attach a microphone to the PTZ using its two conductors?
You will need the following items.
BALUN-P (this will connect to the two bare conductors.)
BNC-M-RCA-F ( this will connect to the Balun P's BNC connection giving you an RCA connection to go to a microphone.
We do sell microphones found here Unfortunately, they are not rated for outdoor use. Also, if you are going to use a microphone outside please ensure to abide by your county and state laws when it comes to audio recording.
If you have an outdoor microphone that would like to check if it works. What you would need to find is a powered MIC that is outdoor rated and has an output with an RCA connection or BNC connections.
