This is because we sell 2.1mm FEMALE DC PLUG WITH 8" FLYING LEADS CABLE as well as the 2.1mm Male DC Plug with 8" Flying Leads Cable already. It can be used for indoor and outdoor purposes by splicing and making the connections weather proof. The Connector you have shown can only be used in an indoor environment.
