Help

i have the ACR-DXRF21 connecting into the ACP-DXEL4. I cannot get the keypad to work with the controller, it appears that the key pad is acting like a stand alone unit but I want it to just send the pin to the controller. I have the red, black, white and green wires connected to the controller as required but nothing. The keypad is lit up and beeps when pushed, but it doesn't control the lock or even show up in the software monitor window. Am I missing something? I know there are a lot of wires that don't need to used on the keypad. Any suggestions?
