Hi guys. I'm new to this forum, and security cameras so I could please use your input. I jumped the gun and bought a tvi/PTZ camera to put out by my chicken house. ( just for fun) To observe wild life and see what is eating my chickens. So after much research I bought the camera, I used 2 video power data baluns at the ends and now want to hook it up to my tv. Then I found out it has to go to a dvr. Ok. So I have a bnc connection on the balun which connects to the dvr. Ho do I connect the dvr to my tv? Will it be in color if I go through hdmi port? Do I use the vga port? The video out port? I would like the best picture possible. The camera is 1080mp. I'm sure I'm not including all the details you guys need but I sure would be grateful for ANY info you guys have to help! Thanks!!
Hi Frank,
Welcome to our forum and the world of security cameras. Once you have the camera hooked up to your DVR, you need to hook the DVR to your TV. If your looking for the best possible image then its best to use the HDMI port on the DVR and TV.
Hope this helps, and enjoy your system.
