Hi, I can't figure out how to set my DVR to continuously record. When the HDD's that I have run out of space, the device just stops recording. I then have to go in and manually format the oldest of the 3 HDD's, then set it to read/write, then restart the machine. Due to our industry we have strict regulations on having continuous video footage for 45 days and can be fined if we are not recording for longer than a couple hours. If we are not paying attention to the cameras (which we usually are not) they will stop recording without warning, sometimes in the middle of the night, which could be bad news for us. All I am doing right now is trying to estimate how many days of memory I have left and setting an alarm to remember to check it...not ideal. Let me know if there is anything that can be done! Thanks!
HI,
You need to log into your DVR (IE or Monitor) and go into the General tab. When in this tab you will see "HDD Full", that needs to be set to overwrite. If that is set to "Stop Record" when the HDD's are full your recording will stop. When set to overwrite the DVR will automatically overwrite the oldest file on the drive. Let me know your findings!
