I wasn't sure which forum to post this in but since this is mostly a feature of the dvr, I figured this was ok. This video demonstrates how I set up motion detection on my front door camera to include enabling a cutstom ptz tour from another channel. The settings for this can be found in the detection menu, and then for specific channels. It's also a function of the ptz, in setting up the presets. The dvr is the 8 channel ultimate mini. The ptz is not a SCK product, however I see a number of ptz's here that have these capabilities. But once again, I find the ultimate mini produces excellent results when used in advanced configurations like this. And really, this type of programming is all about getting more opportunities to get that one single frame or video to help the authorities ID and collar a suspect. It's not easy, no matter how much you try, and it often comes down to a single perfect frame. Helping your cameras help you is a good investement in your time and effort.

This video was shot with a camera pointed at the monitor. Lighting conditions and focus suffer a bit. The actual dvr footage is excellent. But this serves to give an idea of what can be done. Maybe it'll give others ideas how to advance their systems too.

Thanks. This can be particularly useful in business facilities and in warehouses. When this can be done with interior cameras it's even easier to set up.

My mailman often becomes my test subject! So far this is working out very well.
