I have a working noip account and have entered it into my DVR but it is not updating.  I've tried my noip username and email address as the user but it still won't update.  Does anyone know how to get this working?

Here is a Post on how to accomplish the task of setting your recorder to a DDNS account.

And a video as well. Let us know if you have any questions regarding any steps. You can also give our Tech Department a call.

I've tried all this but it doesn't ever update.  I'm using noip.com for my service to be specific.  I've used these type services before for years and understand them.  I've just never used the DVR to do the updating.

What do you mean by it's not updating? Also if you have a newer router in line you can just plug in the No-ip info directly in the router. Lots of people prefer to do that anyway. Newer routers support No-ip. If yours doesn't, it's time to consider a new router.

Like shockwave199 said you can also have your router update your current IP with any DDNS provider.
