I just bought the Pack-HD-CVI-8 and set it up very easily. I have set a static ip, port forwarded the ports and can see the site from Internet Explorer. I can't login though, says I am incorrect. When I go back to the local network, I can login just fine. What did I miss to allow access from outside the network?
Will call tomorrow if needed.

You're not trying to use 888888 to log in remotely are you? It's usually admin/admin for IE log in.

Correct, I even setup a user. admin/admin doesn't work when I am outside the network, but inside it does. hmmm

how are you trying to access the DVR from outside? Did you do port forwarding already? which ports did you forward ? If yes then please send me a PM with your external IP address and port so I can take a look at.
