I am planning to install a 16 channel DVR. I like the network interface demonstrated in the videos on the site but I have a couple of questions.
- Can I access and use the web interface and live cameras from Linux Ubuntu or does it have to be IE with Active X?
- Can I access the live video stream using HTTP GET or other method to display a particular live feed in my own web page running on my own web server?
Thanks.
Thank you for the interest. The web interface has to be used with IE and maybe chrome. That depends on the unit you get. To access the live video stream you would need to use the RTSP stream. If you search the forums you can find the info on that.

Search forums for RTSP and you can find more information.

Thanks. So that puts tablets like iPad and Android out for administration. I realize an app will allow the live stream to be displayed. I don't know why many security camera systems only support windows, especially with Mac and Linux increasing in market share and tablets taking over.

Utilizing the TechproSS Application. The Browsers will not support a direct connection to the Recorders.
