Is there a way to change the video feeds/output via IP commands such as through HTTP GET? I was looking for the command structure for an http command that would allow the DVR to receive commands as if I was using the IR remote for better whole house integration. I saw Dahua's CGI API but the bulk of the commands available via HTTP GET seemed to be setting changes.
What exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to send commands to the DVR using a website or service?

Daniel, the link is http://support.c-sb.ru/index.p.....ent/288/84 . Dro, I am hoping to better integrate my system with my home automation set up. I want to be able to send network commands to the DVR to change video feeds so for instance when my motion sensors identify motion in the driveway my system will already turn on a TV and switch an hdmi matrix to the security video feed but then I wanted to be able to load that specific camera feed and then switch back to a multi feed view afterwards.
I also use the dvr system to monitor feeds for things such as the nursery and I wanted to be able to switch feeds view IP control because I ended up not using the IR control since it seems quite a few of the IR commands for the DVR overlap with common other equipment despite which code set I use.

Ok found an answer from a programmer that customizes these DVRs. Although there is a published HTTP API. The manufacturer didn't implement it in the standard firmware on the DVRs. To make something like I am trying work would need custom firmware and even then the actual HTTP API commands are limited so its not really worth moving forward with my plan.

Have you considered using the Dahua SDK referred to by Daniel?
The SDK can be found at http://www.dahuasecurity.com/d.....oad_3.html
It has a an extensive programmers manual that may be of some help to you.
