Is there a way to hide the "face list" by default? every time the dvr resets the goofy list is on the right of the screen.

The only way to hide that list is by right clicking and choosing hide face search. If the DVR reboots, it will show the list again, but its on click of a mouse to turn it off.

i was hoping that wasn't the case because my dvr is locked away and not just sitting on a desk. is there any down fall to setting the auto reboot to never rather than weekly. you would think they would have made it the opposite, right click if you want to see the list, otherwise default is full screen.
I agree that makes much more sense, but unfortunately for people like you and I, I do not get to design the systems. There is no real danger in doing that, you just want to make sure that you maintain the unit. Make sure all the fans continue to spin, and the DVR does not overheat from running all the time. Make sure it has good air flow. I have to admit all of the DVR's on our benches here are set to never, but they are in the open with plenty of air flow and little to know dust.
