Our 8 Camera DVR wants us to install ActiveX IE_Plugins.exe and run outdated Internet Explorer.
This is not safe.
(our camera's are all baseband video connected to the DVR via BNC connectors & coax cable.)
From another Win10Pro PC on our local network we go to the DVR's IP address and enter our username and password...
But then it wants to install this ActiveX stuff.
Is there any alternative way to log on to our DVR?
PS this system has been working for a few years and the computer that we used to login to the DVR finally died. My guess is that had the ActiveX plugins installed but since I'm replacing the old PC with a new one... I don't want to install ActiveX and have the security risk.
Thanks for any help.

What is the model of the recorder? There are CMS software's you can use depending on the model. If its an Elite Series then you can use Smart PSS found on our Downloads page, the same with Sibell there is Sibell NVMS or NVMS1000.
