Does this DVR have a pre record ability where you can set how many seconds it will record before the actual movement or alarm was detected? The older DVR I have now has this function but it doesn't work so I'm looking for a new one that does.

All of our DVRs have a prerecord option that can be adjusted. By default it is set to 4 seconds. You can change it in the schedule settings at the top of that window if you are in the web-service or interface of DVR.

All of our DVRs have the ability of setup pre record. The default is 4 Sec and it can go up to 60sec.

Thanks for your replies, I ordered one today. The DVR I have now the pre record does not work properly and a few other things don't work right. Finding a good 8 channel DVR with 4 audio inputs for under $500.00 that does what they claim it will do is very hard to find. Hopefully this is the one.
