Hello I am getting ready to do a 4 dvr installation and wanted to get some pointers for ports to open for web/phone viewing. All the dvrs will be on the same network spread out over two,two story buildings( 188' x 80') . I plan to put a dvr on each floor.
The DVRs are the 720/1080 16ch mini series
88,8888 and 80, 8080 for the 4 different web ports correct?
37777/37778 , 47777,47778 I am not sure what the next two groups would be to use?
Last the rtsp ports for each machine.
Thank you for your time and help!

Hi Kim,
The port numbers can be anything up to 65535 to use for a port number. The only one I would suggest to change would be the number 80. All traffic is on that port for websites goes over that. It can create a conflict on your network. Also you do not need to forward the RTSP port for remote viewing.
