The IPVD-EL8IRZA-EP vandal-dome is the newest addition to our lineup of motorized varifocal lens IP Cameras. Say goodbye to FPS limitations as this unit is capable of pushing 30 FPS at its native resolution of 3840×2160, also known as ‘4K’ or 8 megapixels. Combined with built-in h265 video compression, this means better footage quality and a lot more of it with a 60% increase in compression with no loss over h264.

As mentioned above the camera is a vandal-dome, which means it is shielded to protect its lens. In fact, it is IK10 rated, which means the enclosure can withstand 5 times the force of a 5kg hammer falling from 40cm up! This keeps the lens fully protected from sudden impact. Furthermore, it features an IP67 weather protection rating as well!

Speaking of the lens, you’ll be able to optically zoom in since the aforementioned lens is a motorized varifocal lens. In fact, you’ll be able to detect objects at approximately 748 feet, observe objects at approximately 299 feet, recognize people at approximately 151 feet, and identify people at approximately 75 feet.

When using an ePoE capable recorder or switch this camera can achieve power and video over a single cat6 up to a staggering 800 meters (2625 feet!).

Expect nothing short of incredibly sharp pictures and quality color during the daytime. However, at night this camera comes equipped with both infrared, and even better, starlight technology. Using the aforementioned starlight technology, this camera can see in color in the dark down to .0004 lux and in black and white down to 0 lux with infrared aided illumination.

AI features are very popular today, and this camera comes equipped with AI-aided tools such as facial detection. The IPVD-EL8IRZA-EP can recognize facial attributes, perform perimeter protection via IVS tripwire and intrusion box, additional alerting provided via motion detection, and it can perform people counting as well.

Never worry about backup when utilizing this camera’s microSD card capabilities. When used in conjunction with an automatic network replenishment (ANR) capable recorder you’ll never have to worry about backup from a temporary outage. With ANR the recorder will automatically poll the SD cards of any cameras it has lost connection with for their missing footage
