When you receive the NVR, it will be ready to go right out of the box. Just plug it in and connect it to a monitor to go through the initial setup settings. The hard drives are completely Hot Swappable and are easy to install. Just click open the front panel and put the hard drive in. When you want to swap it out, there is no need to shut down your NVR. That is the great thing about a Hot Swappable Hard Drive capable security recorder. You can install up to 8 Hard Drives at one time. We currently sell hard drives from 1TB to 8TB, so there is a potential of 64TB total hard drive storage. You can use this High Definition Security System to trigger almost anything that has power. You can trigger a siren, a strobe, a PTZ etc based on motion events. You can even use this device to unlock doors, open garages, turn on lights and more. In fact there are so many things you can trigger that the list goes on and on. This device comes equipped with 16 Alarm Inputs and 8 Relay Outputs. You most likely will not need all of them, but its good to know they are available.

Backing up your recordings is easy. You can connect an eSATA drive and backup to that. Or you can connect an external hard drive, a flash drive or a DVD Burner to one of the 4 USB ports. You can even back up via FTP if you have a site that handles that.
